    Operations

Under Settings → Operations you can configure Planning defaults (how far ahead MRP looks and how work orders behave) and manage Resources (machines and work centers used in planning).

    Planning

Path: Settings → Operations → Planning. Canonical in-app route: /settings/operations/planning (sign in required).
The previous URL /settings/operations/operations redirects here.

On the Planning page you can:

    • Set the planning horizon (how many days ahead MRP and planning features should consider: 7, 14, 30, or 90 days).
    • Adjust scheduling and reservation behavior (defaults for work orders and MRP), including:
      • Automatically reserve available stock for new work orders
      • Include draft orders when calculating material requirements
      • Enforce site capacity limits when scheduling work

Changes are saved to your organization’s tenant settings. Saving requires Admin or Manager workspace role and that the role is resolved from organization membership (not auth metadata alone). If your role is metadata-only, the app shows a notice with a link to Settings → Users so you can align your seat. Staff can view Planning but cannot save. Use Save and Cancel at the bottom of the page; unsaved changes are protected when navigating away.

    Resources

Path: Settings → Operations → Resources. In-app route: /settings/operations/resources (sign in required).

Manage production resources (for example machines or work centers) with optional default operator and cost per hour. These resources support planning and scheduling across your workflows.

Create, edit, and delete use the same rule as Planning: Admin or Manager with a membership-sourced workspace role can change resources; Staff can view the table but cannot create, edit, or delete.
